Random Acts of Kindness...
This evening I bought dinner for 3 guys; I never saw them before and I will never see them again. Felt good... they smiled. Pay it forward, people!
D&C questions...
Hi Laura. I know you got my email but just to answer your question officially... Both symptoms aren't too uncommon. The bleeding may be from blood pooling the vagina. As long as you are not bleeding through a pad an hour, things are likely normal. As for the mildly elevated fever, sometimes that is just from medications or the procedure itself and not a sign of inection. As long as it doesn't go over 100.4, it isn't considered a ture fever. Still, I would love for you to call the office and we will fit you in; if you need to be seen or something changes.

Adoption
Why is it, as a society, we support a woman's right to choose but not a woman's choice to give their child up for adoption? I have had patients who wanted to adopt out their baby but were "talked out of it" by friends or family. These are single mothers, stressed to their breaking points and when the dust from their births cleared... they are poorly equipped to care for themselves or their babies.
We have convinced many of these women that if they put their child up for adoption, they don't love their baby. What a Crock! It takes courage and love to know what is best for the infant.
So... my goal this week is to learn about what support systems are in place locally to support adoption.
Thoughts?
